Edgar Honetschläger

Edgar Honetschläger is an Austrian-born artist who studied economics and art history. He spent four years of his life in the USA (New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco), about 12 years in Japan (Tokyo), one year in Italy (Rome, Palermo) and an occasional year in Brazil (Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia). In 1997 he took part in Documenta X, in 2004 Honetschläger founded the EDOKO Institute, and in 2009 he received the Prize for Cultural Events of the Province of Upper Austria. The artist, screenwriter and director lives in Tokyo and Vienna.
