The Late Triumph - Renate Bertlmann
One critic has described Renate Bertlmann's incredibly rich oeuvre as an "archive of curiosity. When the Viennese artist celebrates her 80th birthday in February 2023, we will look back on the life of a creative hard worker and pioneer of feminist art, whose works repeatedly expose gender clichés and patriarchal structures with irony and an "intellectual dissecting knife".
"The Late Triumph: Renate Bertlmann" portrays not only a remarkable artist with enormous staying power, but also a political rebel. For the Viennese woman was actively involved in the Second Women's Movement of the 1970s and is thus an important contemporary witness to one of the most lasting social changes in our recent history.
